So it’s been over a year since I posted anything on this webcomic.  I feel pretty bad about it, but life sometimes gets in the way.  I’ll try to start posting again.  I don’t know how often, but I really did miss my little piece of sanity I got from making this webcomic.  As you can see, I’m VERY out of practice with Photoshop, so you get a cheater page to start with.  But it’s something right?

Decided to make a silly comic for you guys while you’re waiting for more of the story.  So the true geek in me comes out.

Once again, life has to take a priority to webcomic.  Ahhh but ’tis the life of the mommy.  It seems that everytime that I even try to touch my comic page, something comes up.  I’m starting to think that maybe I should just skip the coloring of the last page and proceed to the next one.  I’m thinking that page is jinxed or something.  So enjoy the dirty dots till then

You probably noticed that this page is mostly black and white and in anime style.  I could say that I was trying to be artsy with it and this is how I wanted it.  The truth is, is that I was trying to be artsy with it and it just kept getting worse and worse.  I was trying to do a manga style comic for the next couple of pages for variety, but I realized that I’m not that good at drawing manga.  I’m even worse with coloring manga.  I have this problem with smudging and blending… I HAVE to do it.  So when it came to coloring I became so stressed that I couldn’t blend and smudge that I had to walk away from this page for a while.  Yes, I’m odd. 

But no worries.  I will color in this page and make it pretty, but I felt that you (as in the the two people who actually read this) might want to know what’s going on in the story.

Oi!!  Have you ever had one of those months where you can’t even find time to poop, much less find the time (or motivation) to work on your webcomic? 

I have. 

 I think I lost half my hair, lol.

EDIT:  (2-18-09) No worries, folks.  I haven’t given up on this comic, it’s just taking me a little more time than usual to draw up a page.  Lots of things going on right now, but hopefully it will all calm down by the beginning of March (fingers crossed).  Though I think I might have the page up by then.

Bwhahaha!  Finally the page is up! 

This is where you get to meet Jonevan.  Isn’t he cute?  This comic needs some eye candy for the ladies.  Or maybe just me.  I think I might have to do something about the font size and bubbles though.  It was 4 in the morning when I finished this page, so I didn’t really notice how awkward it looked until now.  That will be tonight’s project.

EDIT:  I’m half way done with the next page and I’m starting to realize that maybe this style of art isn’t the best for a comic.  So it only took me ten pages to figure that out.  Sigh.  So now I have to make a choice.  Do I keep this style of art, and take hours upon hours, days and days to draw one page?  Or do I resort to more of a cartoony style?  It probably won’t be as pretty, but the pages will get done faster.  Oh what to do…what to do.

So this concludes the flashback. I will go back to a few more, but that will be later on. I hope I didn’t confuse you TOO much in that last page. It’s 5 in the morning, so forgive me if this post is short.

EDIT (part 2):  So once again it’s taking me a little longer than expect to finsh the next page.  But soon, my dears, soon.  I already have 3 panels done… so I promise it’ll be up!

So we’re back to the flashback again. Are you confused yet? Are things starting to make sense? Do you like ham? I don’t.

I have that song stuck in my head now. Anyway, from now on, I won’t be posting as quicky as I was. The next few pages might take a little bit more time to draw up. We shall see. I might be done with the next page in a few days, or maybe after a week.
